Who may watch and stream
By default, anyone with a watch link can watch, and anyone with the stream key can stream. Each stream lets you narrow both.
Let someone else stream: a guest key
For a guest, or an encoder at another venue, without giving them your own key.
-
Make a guest key
On the stream, under Private links and guest keys, choose Make a guest key and how long it lasts.
-
Send it
Copy it and send it. It stops working by itself. Choose "for one connection only" and nobody can use it again once they start, not even them.
Accept a stream only from your encoder
Under Who may stream here, add the addresses your encoders send from and save. From the next time it is sent to, only those are accepted.
Let people watch only from certain places
For an office, a school or a venue: under Who may watch, add their
addresses (one like 203.0.113.7, or a range like 203.0.113.0/24)
and save. The watch page, the website player and player apps then work only from there.
Leave it empty for anywhere.
Block a network
In Settings, under Blocked networks, add an address or range to keep it from watching any of your streams and channels, and from the chat. Clearing their browser does not get round it. Careful: an office, a café or a mobile network often puts many people behind one address.
Stop every private link and guest key
Choose Revoke all private links and guest keys. All made so far stop at once. Your own key and the public watch link keep working.
Live chat
Choose Turn on chat on a stream or channel: viewers chat beside the player on the watch page. You can Clear chat and block a viewer who misbehaves.
